Welcome to my page!

I am a 22-year-old, travel nerd and enthusiast who loves to meet people from all around the world and learn about different cultures! I have been to 15 countries and 5 continents so far for various reasons such as study abroad, conferences, research, volunteer work, solo trips, and vacation! I was born and raised in Japan until high school from a normal household. I am the first one to go abroad for school. So what triggered me to study abroad??

I always had a dream of going abroad since I went to the States for the first time with my parents for a family vacation when I was 12 years old. The moment I saw my mom speaking English with Americans at the hotel we stayed at, I was so fascinated by how a world common language, English, enables people from different backgrounds or countries to be able to communicate and understand each other. Coming from Japan where the Japanese are deeply rooted and isolated from any other country or culture, I was amazed at how the world is filled with differences. This family trip was the first trigger for studying English. This got my foot in the door to complete the 10-month exchange program during my junior year of high school. Then, I realized the education system in the United States fit with my beliefs more than the fixed education system in Japan.

After completing my education from elementary to high school in Japan, I ventured to the United States in 2020 as a full-time international students amidst the challenges of COVID-19. Within a year, I successfully established a new club at my university and now lead the club, overseeing member tasks, event planning and operations, marketing, and organizing activities with enthusiasm. Despite facing difficulties in fundraising, our club triumphed through teamwork and mutual support among members.

I consider my strengths to be leadership, a proactive mindset, and a collaborative approach, honed in an international setting. As a member of a university organization's leadership team that promotes global awareness and individual development, I excel in managing events, devising marketing strategies, and team organization. My resilience and problem-solving skills were crucial in navigating the obstacles during my admission to the American university amidst the challenges of the 2020 Covid.

Moreover, my internship at Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan in the summer of 2023 showcased my ability to foster collaboration in a multinational environment, breaking down barriers regardless of my position. During my junior year, I studied abroad in England for six months through an American university and engaged in various international activities, including academic awards, volunteering in Costa Rica, and presenting research at the International Peace Conference in Trinidad and Tobago.

I am also a Peace & Global Scholar, Researcher, Conference Presenter, Communication Coordinator, Supervisor, Administrator, Choreographer, Dancer, Event Planner, President, Founder, Leader, and more…
